2018 THE TIMELINE
Benefits of nominating an employee for a WICE Award
Nominating an employee shows them that the company is committed to their advancement. It also gives them a sense of pride that their hard work is appreciated by the company. It demonstrates the company’s commitment to excellence; and highlights its support for the advancement of women in the company. It motivates employees to strive to achieve more.
by putting a candidate forward and their achievements scrutinized by a panel of judges can be extremely beneficial. Measuring the nominee’s outstanding achievements can give them and other employees pride in their work, increase internal credibility, and boost confidence and morale.
Highlights a company’s commitment to its employees
awards can be one of the best key performance indicators. Companies take part in awards because they want their employees to aim for more............... They want their employees to focus on being the best or with the best.
Inspire other employees
When an employee wins an award other colleagues’ may be motivated to seek the same recognition and attention by working harder to achieve the same or much better excellence. This can be an incredibly positive effect for the company.
Motivation goes to the very heart of why Awards are so important. Do your employees need to win an award to gain recognition from you? Most likely not. However to have employer tell you: “I am so impressed by you that I want to enter you into an awards event,” and to follow that up by writing a glowing award nomination, will have a positive effect on the self esteem and motivation of your employees, win or lose.
While winning is enormously beneficial, so too is the process that you have to go through just to put together an entry. It will provide a catalyst for continuing improvement and motivation; and it will help satisfy that basic business and human need: appreciation and respect. “Chris Robinson, Managing Director of Boost Marketing”
